In what year did you begin working in the real estate industry as a REALTOR®?

Why do you like working in the real estate industry?
I love having my own business! I also love working with people/individuals/families to help them find their first home or their forever home and making the process as stress-free and smooth as possible for my buyers and sellers. The real estate industry can be stressful, exciting, satisfying, hard, and wonderful! Never a dull moment!

Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin?
I saw a television ad about Semonin Realtors and an opportunity to come to a free seminar to find out about becoming a Realtor with Semonin. I attended that seminar and fell in love with the company! From the information that was provided, the tour of the lovely facility, and the follow up phone call and an invitation to come to the office to talk to the recruitment person - it just all fell into place. The education/training Semonin provide is outstanding, the support from the management team, administrative assistants, Marketolgy, etc. is amazing, as is the incredible support from fellow agents!
What sets you apart from other REALTORS®? What are your greatest strengths as a real estate agent?
I love what I do. I think that one thing that sets me apart from other Realtors is that I treat my clients as I would want to be treated. The buying and selling processes can be overwhelming, so I try to explain each step of the process in a clear and concise fashion, and I am accessible.

What do you do to stay up-to-date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry?
I attend our weekly business meetings, attend lunch and learns, take a variety of classes offered by Semonin and/or the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, and I read Real Estate publications.
What did you do before you began working in real estate? Has anything you learned on that/those jobs helped you with your real estate business? If so, what/how?
I worked as the Associate for Alum and Church Relations at Louisville Presbyterian Seminary for 12 years. My position was all about relationship building which is essential in the Real Estate business!

Are you involved in any trade/civic or community organizations? If yes, please explain.
Central Louisville Community Ministries. CLCM is one of many community ministers in the Metro Louisville Area and serves the 40203 zip code which is the poorest zip code in Kentucky. CLCM provides help with rent and utilities, has a clothes close, food pantry, and gives out hygiene items. They also can help clients by referring them to other resources in the community.
Tell us about your immediate family. Who are they? Do you enjoy spending time together? If so, what do you do together?
I do not have family in Louisville. My mother, sister, and extended family live in St. Clairsville Ohio, and my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew live in Lewisburg, MS, a suburb of Memphis. I LOVE spending time with them!! We are usually only all together once a year when we talk, talk, talk, and laugh, laugh, laugh, go to movies, play games, and visit extended family and friends. My family is such a blessing!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Why do you enjoy this?
I love to read, take long walks, go to movies, cook, spend time with friends and family, go to Louisville Bats games, and take advantage of the arts, museums, and parks that Louisville has to offer.
