“I enjoy, a great deal, helping people work through one of the biggest decisions of their lives: where to live!!!”

Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin?
“Semonin is the best in town!! I have more tools to help my sellers maximize the value of their house when selling. For my buyers, I also have access to many listings before they even reach the market.”
What do you do to stay up-to-date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry?
“The business is always changing, so continuing education is essential. I attend classes and seminars throughout the year, as well as one-on-one technology training. We have a full-time technology trainer—another reason to be with Semonin!”
What did you do before you began working in real estate?
“I worked at The Speed Art Museum setting up the volunteer program, which at that time included the shop, Café Musee, a docent program and contributing toward the purchase of the Rembrandt. The money was raised by Museum Without Walls and The Speed Ball, which continues to this day. This was all accomplished by volunteers.”
Are you involved in any trade/civic or community organizations? If yes, please explain.
“Through the years, I have been on the boards of Family and Children's Agency, Bridgehaven, Junior League of Louisville and Louisville Collegiate School. At the moment, I am giving real estate 100 percent of my time.”
Briefly, tell us about your immediate family:
“I have been married to my husband, Bob, since 1977. I have three children and five grandchildren. I am fortunate that all live in Louisville, except for my son, Bill, who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.”
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
“I enjoy going to my grandchildren's events: basketball games, plays, concerts and an occasional swim meet or horse event. I also enjoy the arts: opera, orchestra, ballet and theater. I also row a shell on the Ohio with friends.”
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Mr. Semonin always referred to the Golden Rule: ‘Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.’ I was fortunate to know him. Semonin embraces his ethics to this day.”
What is your favorite book/type of book? Why?
“I love historical novels and mysteries. They help you learn and think.”
What is your favorite movie/type of movie? Why?
“Dances with Wolves!”
What is your favorite song/type of music? Why?
“I love music of all kinds.”
If you could wave a magic wand, what one thing would you most like to change in the world?
“There would be peace on Earth and no hunger.”
What are two or three items on your Bucket List?
“I have traveled to all seven continents and 87 countries. I still have many countries I want to visit. Iceland and Mongolia are next, then the Stans in Central Asia.”
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be? Why?
“I did have dinner with Warren Buffett. I enjoyed his wisdom and humility. He also has a great sense of humor.”

“’Please’ and ‘thank you’. (I know that’s four words, but manners count.)”

“I always do what I say I'm going to do.”
