Why do you like working in the real estate industry?
“I love people. I’ve always loved helping people and doing something to help make their lives better. Integrity, trust and excellence are my highest calling, and the real estate industry is about building relationships and trust. If people can trust you with one of the biggest decisions of their lives, you must be the real deal. I’m ready to work hard for my clients!”
In what year did you become affiliated with Semonin Realtors®?
Why do you choose to affiliate your business with Semonin?
“My mom has been in the industry for 44 years. She’s been with different agencies, but she’s been with Semonin for the past 25. She said it was the best, and, as far as I can tell, she is right. I feel like the people there are family and I might be a little spoiled! Lol.”
What do you do to stay up-to-date/knowledgeable about the real estate industry?
“I take classes and seminars constantly, as the industry is ever changing, and I want to grow into new areas and arenas of it, as well.”
What did you do before you began working in real estate?
“I work in interior design for 15 years, which comes in very handy with staging and other design challenges.”
Are you involved in any trade/civic or community organizations?
“Yes, I’m very involved in my church, and I do fund raising for The Lord’s Kitchen, an outreach center that feeds the hungry of Louisville. We serve more than 1 million meals each year. TLK is 31 years old, and we're partnered with Dare to Care.”
Briefly, tell us about your immediate family (per 2019):
“I have a husband, Steve, of 22 years, daughters Kasey, 33, Elizabeth, 18 and Parker Rose, 16.”
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
“I embroider and make wreaths, derby hats, baby blankets and floral arrangements. Anything creative relaxes me. I also love to read.”
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“Love people but keep your eyes on God. Don’t be ruled by your emotions. Rejection can be protection.”
What is your favorite book/type of book?
“Books that teach me something.”
What is your favorite movie/type of movie?
“Comedies. I love movies, and I love to laugh.”
What is your favorite song/type of music?
“I love every type of music except jazz. I’m not crazy about horns, except for the sax. I’m a music lover, so it’s hard for me to pick a song. but I’ll have to go with ‘Amazing Grace.’”
If you could wave a magic wand, what one thing would you most like to change in the world?
“I would eliminate fear.”
What are two or three items on your Bucket List?
“Rescue a Pit Bull from the Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans; take a river cruise; write a book.”
If you could have dinner with anyone, living or deceased, who would it be?
“Mother Teresa. She had something very few people have: she knew her purpose.”

“’Grace.’ It encompasses everyone.”

“Again, fear. It’s the opposite of love. It’s the beginning of hate. It is written: 'Perfect love casts out all fear.'"
